Launching on Apple Messages for Business requires both an approved commercial identity in Apple Business Register and a passed Experience Review showing how your service handles real customer tasks. While your business is in Testing status, Apple lets the test Apple IDs you authorize exchange live messages with your Bird workspace.

You can build your welcome menus, native pickers, and human escalation rules in Bird, record the required iPhone screen demonstration against a real test conversation, and upload your readiness assessment, use-case PDF, and MP4 recording from the dashboard or API.

Set up your brand in Apple Business Register

Create your commercial account in Apple Business Register with your legal entity details, customer-facing brand name, logos, operating hours, and technical contacts, then select Bird as your Messaging Service Provider.

Link your Apple Business ID and add test users

Connect the Apple Business ID to your Bird workspace, set your default locale, and add the Apple Accounts of your engineers and QA testers. Those test users can message the channel immediately while public entry points stay closed.

Record and submit your Experience Review package

Walk through a complete customer task on an authorized iPhone, including native pickers, typing indicators, an unavailable-slot recovery path, and a transfer to a live agent. Upload the readiness PDF, use-case PDF, and MP4 demo in Bird or via the management API.

Go online and enable public entry points

Once Bird and Apple mark the submission approved, complete final commercial asset checks in Apple Business Register, click Go Online, and verify your website buttons, Apple Maps listings, and Message Suggest phone numbers.

Coordinate staffing and specialized features before launch.

Train operators on queues, labels, and closed-hours replies

Assign workspace queues for each entry-point intent, configure closed-hours messages, and have operators practice taking over threads from your AI assistant in Bird Conversations so customers do not receive conflicting replies.

Plan separate approvals for Apple Pay and invitations

In-chat Apple Pay checkout, OAuth customer sign-in, outbound messaging invitations, and externally issued Wallet passes each carry their own merchant certificates or Apple approvals. Scope the capabilities you need for day one and assign owners for those credentials early.
