Bird is listed in the Grok Bot Marketplace. Adding the plugin installs the Bird connector and two skills in one step.

  1. Open the Marketplace

    Select Marketplace at the bottom of the sidebar and search for Bird.

  2. Add the plugin

    Open the Bird plugin (the developer is listed as Bird) and select Add. Grok confirms that it added Bird and two skills.

  3. Check the account

    Ask Grok to call whoami before the first task. If it asks you to sign in to Bird, finish the sign-in so the connector works in your workspace.

Send a welcome email
Write a short welcome email for new customers of my product and show me the draft. Once I approve it, send it to my own address from onboarding@messagebird.dev and tell me whether it was delivered.
Audit a sending domain
Audit the email authentication for example.com. Explain what each finding means and give me a prioritized list of fixes.
Understand a delivery issue
Check my recent email failures. Group them by reason, inspect the affected sending domain, and tell me what needs fixing before making changes.

Does adding the plugin give Grok unrestricted access?

No. The tools operate within the permissions you hold and choose to delegate when you sign in. You can revoke the connection from your Bird account.

Do I need an API key?

The connector uses browser sign-in to Bird’s hosted MCP server. An application you deploy separately uses its own protected application credential.

What if the tools appear but calls fail?

Check that the sign-in finished. Installing the plugin alone does not sign you in. Sign in to Bird again, then ask Grok to call whoami to confirm your identity and workspace.

How do I remove Bird?

Open Bird in the Marketplace and select Uninstall. That removes the connector and both skills.

Can I use Bird from Cursor too?

Yes. The same Bird plugin installs in Cursor and adds the MCP server and skills to your editor. Set up Cursor
