Offer travel data
Use this guide to prepare one travel-data journey before offering it to customers. You need access to the eSIM workspace, a supported test device and an offer for a destination where you can verify service.
1. Choose the offer
Open the catalog and select the destination coverage. Review the allowance, speed terms, validity, activation trigger and published price. Confirm that the offer is appropriate for the intended device and itinerary. Retain those terms in the customer’s purchase journey.
Check the whole itinerary, including onward destinations. A regional name does not establish that every stop is covered. Confirm the exact device model and whether it is unlocked; eSIM support can differ between variants sold in different markets.
Tell the traveler whether validity starts at purchase, installation or a qualifying network connection, according to the selected package. That rule determines whether installing before departure is appropriate. Provide instructions they can find again after losing Wi-Fi.
2. Confirm the purchase
Complete the required funding and approve the selected offer. Keep the resulting order reference and follow its status until fulfillment. If the response is uncertain, inspect the existing order before starting another purchase.
3. Deliver installation
Open the private installation journey for the allocated profile. Provide the supported same-device, QR or manual setup path to the intended traveler. Explain when to install according to the package’s validity rules.
4. Verify service
On the test device, add the profile and select the correct data line. Apply the package’s roaming and network instructions, then test mobile data in a supported destination. Confirm that the plan shown to the traveler matches the purchased service.
5. Prepare follow-up
Provide the usage observation time, expiry information and compatible top-up choices. Link help to the order and profile so a traveler can resume setup or report a problem without repeating the purchase.
Troubleshooting
If the order is fulfilled but the phone has no data, investigate installation and device settings before buying another package. If credentials cannot be retrieved, keep the existing order and retry through the supported recovery path; that failure does not establish that the purchase failed.
Check the journey before offering it
| Stage | Successful result |
|---|---|
| Purchase | One order matches the accepted destination, allowance and validity terms |
| Installation | The intended device contains the allocated profile and the traveler can identify its data line |
| First use | Mobile data works in a destination covered by that package |
| Return visit | The traveler can reopen the existing plan and reach help without buying again |
| Replenishment | Any offered top-up is compatible with the existing service and its new terms are visible |
For a trip that cannot be tested in its destination yet, record first-use verification as outstanding. An installed profile is useful evidence of setup, but it does not prove destination coverage or a working data session.
Use device and coverage checks before purchase and the installation guide when preparing the traveler’s setup instructions.
