Rocket keeps BIRD_API_KEY in the task’s environment. Leave off the NEXT_PUBLIC_ prefix, so the key stays in server code and out of the browser.

Pick a route and a request such as Create an email message, click Integrate API, then click the element to trigger the send. Rocket asks when to call the API and writes the code.
Create an API key in Bird under Developers, then API keys. In Rocket, click the task name, open Settings, then Environment, and set BIRD_API_KEY and BIRD_API_URL on the Staging and Production tabs. A key starting bk_eu1_ calls https://eu1.platform.bird.com.

Rocket’s APIs panel imports Postman collections, cURL commands, and OpenAPI files. The Bird collection gives each request a working example and names its variables for Rocket’s environment.
The host your API key names. A key starting bk_us1_ calls https://us1.platform.bird.com, and a key starting bk_eu1_ calls https://eu1.platform.bird.com. Set BIRD_API_URL to match.
Download the collection again and upload the file to your task. Bird rebuilds the collection from its API specification with each release.
