Preview your first voice sequence

Use the Opening hours and directions template to follow a caller through a keypad menu. This walkthrough simulates the call without dialing a number or playing audio.
You need access to Sequences, Voice management read access to browse templates, and write access to create a draft.

Open the template

  1. Open Sequence templates.
  2. Search for Opening hours and directions and open it.
  3. Review the workflow, prerequisites, and Example scenarios.
  4. Find the Hours scenario card and read its Expected path for a caller choosing 1.
The path starts at the call entry, takes the menu's hours output, plays the opening-hours message, and finishes with a result. The scenario supplies hypothetical keypad and media outcomes.
The opening-hours template connects a keypad menu to information messages and result steps.

Compare the other paths

  1. Read the Directions card and compare its expected path with Hours.
  2. Read Silence to see the timeout response.
  3. Read Unmatched key to see how an unsupported choice ends.
The template gives silence and unmatched input explicit failed results. That describes the configured outcome; it does not mean preview made a failed telephone call.

Create your draft

  1. Select Use template and give your sequence a name.
  2. Replace the menu message, opening hours, and directions with your own text. Keep the spoken choices consistent with the keypad routes.
  3. Select Create draft. The editor opens your independent copy.
  4. Open Preview, choose the call entry, and keep Entry data (JSON) as {} for this template.
  5. Use Add a sample outcome to choose the menu's hours match and a successful outcome for the opening-hours Media step. Template scenario samples are not copied into the draft.
  6. Select Preview workflow.
Inspect the selected path and prepared speech. Saving a draft preserves your edits; it does not publish the sequence or call anyone. If the preview stops, follow the preview guide to repair or add a sample outcome.
