SparkPost Joins the Bird Family

SparkPost Joins the Bird Family

I am thrilled to share with you that SparkPost has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Bird, the world’s leading omnichannel cloud communications platform.

Why SparkPost and Bird are joining forces

When Robert Vis, CEO of Bird, approached me about this idea, we had just closed a large financing and we were focused on executing our plan. But Robert’s pitch was compelling. He not only talked about geographic, product and market expansion, but also about his values, business philosophy and Bird’s special culture. Robert emphasized how the Bird team was passionate about providing world class service for enterprise customers. I was convinced our combination would result in a truly unique company ready to make a major global impact, and shortly thereafter we sealed the deal!
