Bird vs Validity Engage for email deliverability
Choose the deliverability job first: measure inbox placement, diagnose a sender problem or change a sending practice. These tasks need different evidence and should not be collapsed into one score.
Where Validity Engage fits
Validity now presents its inbox placement and deliverability capabilities through Engage; Everest remains a recognizable product name in its documentation and commercial materials. Compare placement, reputation and authentication workflows.

Bird Inbox Insights combines placement observations, seed tests and reputation views with your sending data. Dedicated-IP warmup and domain authentication address separate parts of the sending setup.

| Capability | Bird | Validity Engage |
|---|---|---|
| Placement analysis | Inspect measured placement by domain and mailbox provider. | Engage presents placement testing and provider-specific deliverability insights. |
| Reputation and authentication | Review the available complaint, blocklist and DMARC observations in Reputation. | Engage lists Sender Score, authentication and blocklist monitoring. |
| Sending evidence | Inspect your Bird delivery, bounce and deferral data alongside placement. | Map the monitoring reports to the sending records your team uses. |
| Scope of a move | Recreate the required monitoring process and retain historical reports. | Engage also lists live email monitoring, rendering tests and Sender Certification; evaluate those separately. |
Run the same customer journey
Use the same authenticated domain, content, sending route and time window for a controlled evaluation. Record seed-pool differences and actual recipient outcomes. A seed inbox rate is a measurement of those mailboxes, not a guarantee for every subscriber.
Start the working example ↗Make the switch deliberately
Start by recreating the measurement baseline in Bird and retaining old reports. Do not change the sending provider, IP, content and audience at once; that makes it difficult to attribute the result.

Does a seed test guarantee inbox placement?
Is inbox placement the same as delivery rate?
Should I change my sender when changing monitoring?
