Business identity

Put the right business behind the number.

Use Embedded Signup with a person who can manage the intended Meta business assets. Confirm the legal business, WhatsApp Business Account and phone number before completing the connection.

Several accounts, clear ownership

A Bird workspace can hold several WhatsApp Business Accounts, each with several numbers. Keep each account’s workspace and regional ownership explicit.

A profile customers can trust

Prepare a recognizable display name, useful business details and accurate support information. Business verification and Official Business Account status are separate processes.

A deliberate move

Plan the transition before changing the sender.

Review the current provider, account access, templates, active conversations and team workflow. Decide whether migration or an eligible app-and-API coexistence path fits your setup.

Protect the customer journey

Test inbound routing, template sends, service replies and support escalation before the wider cutover.

Confirm the path for your account

Coexistence and migration depend on Meta eligibility and the current number setup. Avoid deleting an existing app registration before the supported path is agreed.

Operate with confidence

Keep identity, quality and access in view.

Review number health and profile details as part of the channel’s operation. Treat sender restrictions and template feedback as signals that need an owner and a response.

Separate account access from ownership

Administrator access to an asset does not authorize claiming it in a different workspace. Coordinate the release and connection of existing assets.

Prepare more than the happy path

Rehearse an unavailable sender, an expired credential and a customer reply during transition. Keep the responsible team and recovery steps clear.

WhatsApp numbers questions

Can a workspace hold more than one WhatsApp Business Account?
Yes. A workspace can contain several WhatsApp Business Accounts, and each can contain several phone numbers. A connected account has a specific organization, workspace and regional owner.
Can I keep using the WhatsApp Business app?
Review whether your number and account qualify for the supported coexistence path. Do not assume every app number must be deleted or that every account is eligible.
Is business verification the same as an Official Business Account?
No. These are distinct Meta processes with different purposes and eligibility. Completing one does not automatically grant the other.
Can Bird help with a provider migration?
Use a specialist-led plan for existing accounts, multiple numbers or a coordinated cutover. Review access, templates, routing, reporting and rollback before changing customer traffic.
