Delivered to the phone system
Your PBX decides who answers.
Choose how each Bird number answers. Deliver calls to a SIP trunk, forward them to a verified destination, or leave the route closed.
Change the number’s route to see where the call goes.
Your PBX decides who answers.
Track the incoming and forwarding legs separately.
A number needs an explicit answer route before it receives calls.
Route calls to the right destination.
An eligible number has one incoming action: SIP trunk, verified forwarding or reject. Reject is the default. Verifying an external caller ID does not bring its incoming calls to Bird.
Enable inbound calling and provide a delivery gateway before assigning the number. Lower gateway priorities are tried first; equal priorities share traffic. Match the dialed-number format to your PBX.
Forwarding creates a second call to the verified destination. Keep the incoming and outgoing records distinct when investigating routing, duration and charges.
Organize teams in workspaces, control API access, and trace changes through audit logs.
