Pause backend polling and streams when rooms are empty.
Occupancy webhooks notify your server when the first subscriber joins a channel and when the last browser tab disconnects, staying quiet while connections arrive and leave in between. Start live data feeds or background polling when someone is watching, stop them when the channel vacates, warm empty cache channels on a cache miss, or enable connection-count updates to track active audience size.
