Update email templates without redeploying code.

Publish reusable HTML, plain-text, and React Email templates so your team can update copy and localized content without redeploying application code. Populate dynamic variables, preview drafts against real contact data in the dashboard, REST API, or Bird MCP, and use the same versioned templates across transactional sends, broadcasts, and automations.

build world-class software.

Preview drafts and catch missing variables
before a single email goes out.

Test how your subject line, preheader, and HTML body render with sample values or a real contact profile before publishing. Whether you check drafts from your AI assistant with Bird MCP, the API, or the dashboard, Bird validates placeholders and flags missing variables early so broken templates do not reach a customer’s inbox.

Personalize published templates with live data from your app.

Pass dynamic parameters from your application or pull attributes straight from contact profiles using Liquid variables, conditionals, and loops. Store up to 25 localized languages in a single template with automatic plain-text generation and language fallbacks.

Ship copy and layout updates
without redeploying your app.

Edit your working draft while the currently published version keeps delivering production traffic untouched. When your team approves the new subject line, HTML, or translations, publish a numbered version in one step, or roll back to an earlier snapshot whenever you need to.

Reuse the same templates across
transactional sends and broadcasts.

Stop maintaining separate template libraries for backend notifications and marketing campaigns. Trigger order confirmations and password resets by template slug with live application data, reuse your designs in audience broadcasts and automations, or render React Email in your codebase and send the HTML through the same API.

Email templates, explained.

Does preview send an email?

No. Previewing renders your working draft or published version with sample parameters or a real contact profile and returns the finished subject line, HTML, and plain text without sending an email. Live traffic continues using the currently published version until you explicitly publish your draft, and previewing catches missing variables or Liquid syntax errors early.

Can I reuse a template across campaigns and transactional email?

Yes. You can trigger a published template from your backend by slug with per-send parameters for receipts and alerts, or use templates in automated journeys and audience broadcasts that pull attributes from contact profiles. Each send applies the appropriate transactional or marketing category so suppression rules and unsubscribe handling match the message’s purpose.

Can I use HTML or React Email?

Yes. You can author and store HTML templates with Liquid variables, conditionals, and loops directly in Bird, and Bird generates a plain-text fallback automatically when you publish. If your team builds components with React Email, you can either render them to HTML in your application at send time or sync the compiled HTML to a versioned Bird template.
