eSIM connectivity guide
Use Bird eSIM to buy mobile data for a compatible device from the eSIM catalog or through the eSIM API. Your organization wallet pays for purchases.
An offer describes the coverage, allowance, validity, and price you can buy. An order records the purchase. The resulting eSIM is the profile installed on the device; its packages hold the purchased data. A compatible top-up adds another package to that eSIM. Automatic renewal buys packages on a schedule where the offer supports it.
Choose a task
- Buy travel data: choose a destination, review the package, and follow your order.
- Check device and coverage requirements: confirm the phone can use the package before buying.
- Install an eSIM: use device setup instructions or privately send an installation link.
- Assign employee connectivity: connect a person to an eSIM and manage its use.
Manage an existing eSIM
Open eSIMs to find the installed profile and its packages. Check usage or add a top-up, manage automatic renewal, or resolve a service issue.
Build an integration
Follow the API purchase flow to choose an offer, purchase a package, and deliver installation details. Use embedded connectivity to connect those steps to your customer accounts and recover interrupted purchases.
