Connect customer messaging to your workflows

Use Bird in Stacksync workflows to send email, SMS and WhatsApp messages, reply to Apple Messages for Business conversations, and verify customers with one-time passcodes.

Connect your workspace and build a workflow

Bird is available in the Stacksync workflow builder. Add a Bird step and connect your workspace with a Bird API key.

  1. Save your Bird API key

Select a Bird connection in Stacksync and enter your Bird API key in the API Key field. The key identifies your workspace and region, so you do not need a workspace ID or base URL.

  2. Choose an action and map its inputs

Choose Send message, Get message, List messages, Send verification or Check verification. Grant your API key the permissions those actions need, including settings read access for sender and template pickers.

  3. Test before enabling the workflow

Map recipient and message fields from earlier steps, then test with recipients you control. Review the result and check delivery in Bird before enabling the workflow. Send actions can send real messages.

Bring messaging and verification into your workflows

Send customer messages

Use Send message for email, SMS or WhatsApp, or to reply to an existing Apple Messages for Business conversation. Select the channel and a configured sender, then map your message or template inputs.

Verify customers with passcodes

Send verification starts a passcode challenge. Use Check verification with the same recipient details to check the code your customer provides.

Retrieve messages and status

Use Get message to retrieve message details and status, or List messages to retrieve a page of messages for your selected channel. Pass the next cursor into a later step to fetch another page.
