Check device and coverage requirements

Use this checklist before selecting an offer or guiding a customer through installation. You need the actual device model, country of purchase, intended destinations and required services. Confirm the available Bird offer and evaluation arrangements with your connectivity team.

1. Identify the device

Record the model and market variant. Check the manufacturer's eSIM guidance and the provider's device requirements. A similarly named model sold in another market may support a different SIM arrangement.
Check how many lines can be active together and which line will provide mobile data. Stored profiles and active lines are different limits. Keep the customer's existing calling line in the plan when they intend to retain it.

2. Confirm carrier eligibility

Check whether the device is locked to its current carrier. If it is, confirm the unlocking procedure with that carrier before buying a different service.
For iPhone, use Apple's travel eSIM guidance to find the carrier-lock setting. For Pixel, use Google's carrier compatibility guidance. Those sources describe the device; they do not certify a particular Bird offer.

3. Match coverage and included service

Read the offer's destination list against the actual itinerary. Include stopovers where the customer needs service. Review local and roaming allowances separately for a recurring mobile plan.
Confirm data, voice and SMS independently. Check supported network terms, hotspot rules and any reduced-speed policy. A phone number reported with an eSIM does not establish that ordinary mobile calling or SMS is included.

4. Review activation and installation

Confirm the event that starts validity and the period in which installation or activation must happen. Use a working internet connection to obtain the profile. Follow the supported device link, QR or manual setup instructions inside the private installation journey.
If the customer uses one phone, provide a same-device method where supported or explain how to show the QR code on another screen. Follow the installation guide for the remaining device steps.

5. Verify a usable connection

In a covered destination, select the intended data line, apply the plan's roaming instructions and test the included service. Record the device result separately from the order status and any provider observation.

Troubleshooting

If the device refuses installation, retain the model, method, step reached and exact error. Confirm profile recovery rules before deleting it or trying it on another device. If installation succeeds but data does not, review the selected line, coverage and network settings before purchasing another package.
