Guide eSIM installation

You need a fulfilled order, permission to read installation credentials, and an unlocked, compatible device. Open the profile from eSIMs and select Install, or get installation credentials through the API. Confirm the package’s activation trigger before installing.

1. Check the device

Confirm eSIM support, carrier lock status and any plan-specific device requirements. Use a working internet connection for the installation process.

2. Choose an installation method

Use the installation method shown for the device. The API returns an iOS installation link and manual details; its Android link and hosted QR image URL are currently unavailable. To share a page containing QR and manual setup, create a hosted installation link when that operation is available. Share it privately. Keep installation credentials out of public URLs and analytics events.

3. Add the profile

Follow the device prompts and give the line a recognizable label. Select the intended line for mobile data and apply any roaming instructions supplied with the package.

4. Test the included service

Verify mobile data after reaching a covered network. If the plan includes mobile voice or SMS, test those separately. A profile installed on the phone does not establish that every included service is working.

5. Record the result

Keep the profile and order references with the support case or test record. Preserve the distinction between what the user verified on the phone and the status reported by the provider.

Troubleshooting

For a failed setup, record the device model, method used, step reached and exact error. Check recovery and reinstall eligibility before removing a profile. Never ask the customer to paste a private activation code into an unrestricted conversation.
