Register an Apple Messages business
Prepare your Apple business identity, provider connection, test experience and launch review.
Prerequisites
Confirm access and the provider connection with Bird. Prepare the legal business details, brand assets, website, support hours and privacy information. Assign an authorized business owner to manage Apple Business Register and respond to review requests. Registration and Experience Review are separate milestones; neither is completed by creating a Bird workspace.
1. Define the first customer task
Choose a service request your team can complete, such as arranging a visit or checking an order. Write the starting question, necessary information and expected result. Include how the customer reaches a person.
2. Prepare the business identity
Follow Apple’s account registration instructions. Create the account under the authorized business owner, select the agreed messaging provider and add the approved testers. Use consistent names and assets across the business registration and customer-facing properties. Keep distinct businesses separate; one commercial account serves a business’s use cases and territories. Associate the correct business and regional provider connection with the Bird workspace.
3. Build the review experience
Prepare the welcome, native content, routing and business integrations needed for the chosen task. Set response expectations and make sure the support team can actually continue the conversation.
4. Test and submit
Use the authorized business and test path. Inspect the experience on representative devices, including an unexpected request and failed business action. Record the tested business identity, starting entry point and completed task. Have the responsible owner submit the required evidence and respond to Apple’s review outcome. Verify the account status in Apple Business Register before scheduling launch; a successful test connection is only one part of readiness.
5. Open the entry points
Confirm the approved business connection and working service path before making entry points visible. Test each public destination against the intended business and team.
Prepare a review evidence set
Keep the submitted business details, test entry points and representative customer journey in a shared launch record. Name the owners of the Apple business account, Bird workspace, service operation and connected applications. Review the evidence against the current Apple requirements before submission.
| Test case | Action | Expected result |
|---|---|---|
| The business details change during review | Update the relevant submission and customer-facing assets consistently. | Reviewers and test customers see the intended business identity. |
| A journey needs a person outside normal service hours | Test the published availability and continuation message. | The customer understands when and how the request will receive help. |
| An additional native experience is included at launch | Check its configuration, credentials and separate approval needs. | The launch plan identifies a responsible owner and a verified test path. |
Troubleshooting
If registration is incomplete, resolve the specific identity, asset or experience issue reported. Do not treat a connected workspace as approval. If the wrong business receives the conversation, inspect the entry-point identity and provider mapping.
