Employee connectivity

Your team moves. Their connection should follow.

Give employees the connectivity they need for their role and their trip. Manage approved plans, assignment, installation and costs from a shared workspace, with useful self-service for the employee and a clear operating view for IT and finance.

Active

Fictional employees and service states demonstrate assignment and follow-up. No employee data is used.

For people, IT and finance

The employee gets a connection. Your team keeps the context.

Make company-paid mobile service part of joining the team. Connect the person using the line, the company paying for it and the team responsible for support, with an assignment that remains useful after the welcome email.

Use the same operating view for a new starter, a work trip or a departing employee. Keep employee identity separate from billing authority so the right person can approve a change.

Fictional team. Assignments keep the employee, plan and next action together.

Travel for work

Prepare data before the employee needs it.

Offer an eligible travel package for the destination and expected trip. Keep the installation instructions, allowance and support contact together, with the company’s top-up policy visible before any extra purchase.

Give employees a useful next step

Surface the plan’s coverage, setup and remaining allowance in the employee journey. Direct a device problem to installation help and a depleted package to an eligible top-up.

Give finance a readable record

Connect each purchase to the employee, team and cost center used in your organization. Review charges in their recorded currency and period, with the related service attached.

Manage change

Keep control as the team changes.

Use an operational view of assignments, usage observations and exceptions. When an employee changes roles or leaves, follow the intended transfer or termination procedure for the line.

Separate access from service

Removing a user’s workspace access and ending their mobile service are different actions. Track both when completing offboarding.

Resolve the exception

Prioritize a failed installation, a payment problem or an employee without an assigned plan. Keep the next permitted action and supporting context together for the operator.

Employee connectivity questions

Can we offer both a work phone plan and travel data?
Yes. Model the employee’s continuing mobile service and each travel package according to their own terms. The appropriate combination depends on the employee’s market, device and plan eligibility.
Does eSIM automatically make a device secure?
No. Connectivity and device management serve different purposes. Keep your device policy, application controls and access management in place.
Can employees keep their number when leaving?
Number ownership and transfer eligibility depend on the arrangement and market. Define that policy before onboarding and use the appropriate transfer or porting process.
What should we prepare for a rollout?
Bring the employee markets, device mix, existing contracts, expected travel, billing structure and HR or IT integration. Start with a representative group and verify setup, support and offboarding.
