Build a focused WhatsApp Flow
Design a native form, connect live choices and validate the submitted result.
Prerequisites
An eligible connected WhatsApp business, a defined customer task and the system responsible for the submitted action.
1. Choose one task
Start with an appointment request, product choice or service triage. Write the completion condition first. List only the information needed to reach that condition and remove fields already available through authorized context.
2. Design the form
Use concise labels, appropriate input controls and useful validation. Keep the initial screen understandable without extra explanation. Review longer languages and optional answers. Meta’s WhatsApp Flows overview describes the native experience.
3. Connect the current choices
Use the relevant business integration for availability or product options. Give requests stable business meaning, and avoid trusting a client-selected value without checking it again on submission. Keep a task reference in your application so a duplicate submission cannot create a second business action.
4. Validate the submission
Associate the answers with the correct customer request. Apply identity and access checks where needed. Submit the action to the booking, order or case system, then report its actual result in the conversation.
5. Test the interruption paths
Rehearse an expired choice, invalid answer, interrupted form and unavailable integration. Preserve useful answers when offering another option. Keep a conversation or person available when the structured flow cannot resolve the request.
Troubleshooting
A submitted form is not a confirmed reservation or payment. Inspect the owning system’s result before presenting success. If the customer cannot finish, identify the screen and field involved and offer a supported alternative. Use published integration operations rather than guessing a Flows SDK method.
