When is Plivo a strong choice?

When should you choose Bird?
Choose Bird when you want the calling connection, routing and operational records alongside your existing Bird workspace. Use sequences for defined call behavior, or connect the conversational application you want to operate. Validate the complete workflow you need before replacing a dependency.
Is a Zentrunk object portable to Bird?
No. Recreate the intended connection using Bird’s contract. Map direction, authentication, inbound destinations and media behavior individually. A similarly named field does not establish identical fallback, timeout or routing semantics.
How should you compare the full cost?
Start with the same destinations, call directions and expected duration. Include number rental, each connected leg, recording or transcription, and the speech and model runtime your design uses. A telephone-minute rate and a managed AI-conversation rate include different work; compare the total workflow.
What does a careful migration involve?
Inventory inbound and outbound trunks, assigned phone numbers, access-control lists, credential lists, primary and fallback URIs and secure-media settings. Record any separate Plivo Voice API applications that control behavior behind the numbers.
Map the behavior
Map inbound origination and outbound calling separately. Recreate the client connection and receiving number route, then verify the transport, media and caller-identity requirements. Review any Voice API call instructions independently of the SIP trunk change.
