When should you choose Bird?
Choose Bird when you want the calling connection, routing and operational records alongside your existing Bird workspace. Use sequences for defined call behavior, or connect the conversational application you want to operate. Validate the complete workflow you need before replacing a dependency.
Can I keep my existing PBX or AI runtime?
You can evaluate a connection change while retaining the application if its SIP, authentication and media requirements match. Reconfigure the connection deliberately and verify incoming and outgoing calls, caller identity, audio and handoff. An existing integration is not proof of compatibility with a new carrier path.
How should you compare the full cost?
Start with the same destinations, call directions and expected duration. Include number rental, each connected leg, recording or transcription, and the speech and model runtime your design uses. A telephone-minute rate and a managed AI-conversation rate include different work; compare the total workflow.
What does a careful migration involve?
Inventory realms, credentials, inbound route priorities, endpoint weights, phone-number assignments and any separate Programmable Voice behavior. For an AI integration, record the runtime and its inbound source rules separately from the carrier connection.
