Step-by-step guide
Follow the step-by-step guide to learn how to set up RCS Agent and Channel
In the main menu navigate to Developer product
Navigate to Numbers
Open Google RCS Agents
Add a new RCS Agent
Step 2: Configure your Google RCS agent
Under basic info enter:
Choose Brand name: Brands are used to group agents together.
Enter Agent name: This is the name of the agent that will be displayed in the message
Choose region: This is where the data for the agent will be hosted
Choose billing category: This indicates the type of message your agent will typically send. Only the conversational category will create conversational billing events
Pick use-case: What kind of messages will the agent be sending?
You can choose between:
Multi-use
Transactional
OTP
Promotional
Under config enter
Display name
Description
Color
Banner image
Logo image
Websites
Privacy policy
Terms of Service
Verification info
Provide contact information of an employee who has the authority to verify your agent's information and Bird's right to manage the agent as a messaging partner.
This verification may be done by the operator or by Google, based on your selected operators at launch.
Click Create Agent
Step 3: Set up your RCS channel
Navigate to Channels in the left hand-side menu
Click on RCS Google
Choose RCS Google Setup
Choose RCS Channel
Choose from existing RCS channels
Create new one by clicking on “Install - Google RCS Business messaging” button in the top right corner
Step 4: Choose Agent
Choose RCS Agent from the drop-down
Edit connector name; Give your connector a recognizable name
Click Install RCS Channel
