Setting up your RCS
RCS Agent
An RCS Agent is your business's official profile in RCS messaging that customers see when receiving your messages. It includes your business name, logo, and verification badge, allowing you to send rich media like images and interactive buttons. Setting up an agent requires providing basic information about your business, configuring how your messages will look, and submitting verification details of an authorized employee who can confirm Bird's right to manage messaging for you. Your RCS Agent must be reviewed and approved by Google or carriers before it can start sending messages.
RCS Channel
An RCS Channel is simply a setup within the Bird platform, similar to how you'd set up channels for SMS, email, or WhatsApp. You can only create a channel after your RCS Agent is set up, and the main purpose is to generate a Channel ID that you'll use when building your application. This Channel ID serves as a reference point that connects your application code to your RCS messaging capability within Bird, making it possible for your systems to send RCS messages.
