E15xxx — WhatsApp sending & delivery
Error codes in the E15xxx range that the public Bird API returns. Each code links to its own page (the page its doc_url points at) with the cause and what to do. Retired codes stay listed; they are never renamed or reused.

E15001 | WhatsAppInvalidRecipient | 422 | The recipient is not one this operation accepts. A phone number uses the international format with a leading plus, for example +14155550100, and a business-scoped user ID looks like US.13491208655302741918. The message endpoints additionally accept a WhatsApp group ID, for example wag_01krdgeqcxet5s7t44vh8rt9mg, which no other operation takes. |
E15002 | WhatsAppTemplateNotFound | 422 | No WhatsApp template matches the requested slug. |
E15003 | WhatsAppTemplateParameterMismatch | 422 | The message parameters do not match the parameters the template declares. |
E15004 | WhatsAppTemplateSlugInvalid | 422 | The template slug must contain only lowercase letters, digits, hyphens and underscores, start and end with a letter or digit, and be no more than 63 characters long. |
E15005 | WhatsAppTemplateSlugTaken | 409 | A template with this slug already exists in this workspace. |
E15006 | WhatsAppTemplateSlugReserved | 422 | Slugs starting with bird_ or wat_ are reserved, and a system template cannot be edited or deleted. |
E15007 | WhatsAppTemplateLanguageInvalid | 422 | The language is not one of WhatsApp's supported language tags. |
E15008 | WhatsAppTemplateComponentsInvalid | 422 | The language's components are not a valid template document. |
E15009 | WhatsAppTemplateLanguageNotFound | 404 | The template version does not carry this language. |
E15010 | WhatsAppTemplateLanguageConflict | 409 | The language was changed by another request. Reload the latest version and try again. |
E15011 | WhatsAppTemplateDefaultLanguageRequired | 422 | The default language must be one of the languages the draft carries. |
E15012 | WhatsAppTemplateVersionImmutable | 422 | This version is not the draft and cannot be changed directly. |
E15013 | WhatsAppTemplateEmptyDraft | 422 | The draft has no languages to submit. |
E15014 | WhatsAppRecipientNotSupportedForTemplate | 422 | This template can only be sent to a phone number, not to a business-scoped user ID. |
E15015 | WhatsAppContentRequired | 422 | The message carries no content. |
E15016 | WhatsAppContentAmbiguous | 422 | The message carries more than one kind of content. |
E15017 | WhatsAppSenderRequired | 422 | This message needs a sender. Set from to the business phone number to send it from. |
E15018 | WhatsAppSenderNotAllowed | 422 | This message's sender is already determined, so from cannot be set. |
E15019 | WhatsAppSenderNotFound | 422 | This is not a WhatsApp sender this workspace can send from. |
E15020 | WhatsAppTemplateLanguageNotEditable | 422 | This language is under review at WhatsApp and cannot be changed until the review finishes. |
E15021 | WhatsAppMediaExpired | 410 | This message's media is no longer available. Media on a received WhatsApp message is kept for 30 days. |
E15022 | WhatsAppTemplateWABANotConnected | 422 | The waba is not a WhatsApp Business Account this workspace can author templates on. |
E15023 | WhatsAppSenderWABAMismatch | 422 | The from number is on a different WhatsApp Business Account than the template. |
E15024 | WhatsAppTemplateContentNotDuplicable | 422 | This template's copy was written by WhatsApp, so it cannot be duplicated. |
E15025 | WhatsAppTemplateContentRequired | 422 | A part of the template has no content yet. |
E15026 | WhatsAppTemplateExampleRequired | 422 | A variable in the template has no example value. |
E15027 | WhatsAppTemplateParameterInvalid | 422 | A variable is not written in a form WhatsApp accepts here. |
E15028 | WhatsAppTemplateParameterDuplicate | 422 | A variable name is used more than once in this language. |
E15029 | WhatsAppTemplateEditDailyLimitExceeded | 422 | This language was already edited in the last 24 hours. |
E15030 | WhatsAppTemplateEditMonthlyLimitExceeded | 422 | This language has already reached WhatsApp's limit of 10 edits within the last 30 days. |
E15033 | WhatsAppNumberProfileUnsupported | 409 | This number has no business profile to read. |
E15034 | WhatsAppNumberProfileRejected | 422 | WhatsApp refused the business profile changes. |
E15035 | WhatsAppNumberProfileUnavailable | 503 | This number's business profile could not be read or changed right now. |
E15038 | WhatsAppTemplateLanguageNoSubmittedCopy | 422 | Discarding this language's edits restores its most recently submitted copy, and none exists. |
E15039 | WhatsAppSenderNotConnected | 422 | The from number has not finished connecting to WhatsApp. |
E15042 | WhatsAppSuppressionNotRemovable | 422 | This suppression records the recipient's own opt-out, so it cannot be removed. |
E15043 | WhatsAppTemplateBusinessNotVerified | 412 | An authentication template needs a verified business, and Meta has not verified the business behind this WhatsApp Business Account. |
E15044 | WhatsAppServiceWindowClosed | 422 | This conversation's 24-hour customer service window is closed, so only a template message can be sent. |
E15045 | WhatsAppGroupsNotEligible | 412 | WhatsApp only lets an Official Business Account create groups, and this number is not one. |
E15046 | WhatsAppGroupNotFound | 404 | No WhatsApp group matches this id in this workspace. |
E15047 | WhatsAppGroupNotActive | 409 | This group cannot be messaged or changed, because it is not active. |
E15048 | WhatsAppGroupParticipantLimit | 409 | This group already holds the 8 participants WhatsApp allows. |
E15049 | WhatsAppGroupLimitReached | 409 | This number already administers the 10,000 groups WhatsApp allows. |
E15050 | WhatsAppGroupParticipantNotFound | 422 | The named participant is not in this group. |
E15051 | WhatsAppGroupJoinRequestNotFound | 422 | One of the named join requests is not waiting for a decision on this group. |
E15052 | WhatsAppGroupContentNotSupported | 422 | WhatsApp does not deliver this kind of content to a group. |
E15053 | WhatsAppMessageNotInGroup | 422 | This message is not one this group carries, so it cannot be pinned or unpinned here. |
E15054 | WhatsAppGroupUpdateInProgress | 409 | A change to this group or participant is still in progress, so another cannot start yet. |
E15055 | WhatsAppInteractiveLimitExceeded | 422 | The interactive message exceeds a limit for its kind. |
E15056 | WhatsAppInteractiveDuplicateLabel | 422 | Two buttons or rows in this message carry the same label. |
E15059 | WhatsAppInteractiveCardsButtonsMismatch | 422 | The carousel's cards do not all carry the same buttons. |
E15060 | WhatsAppTemplateLanguageNotInSource | 422 | The copy asks for a language the template it copies does not carry. |
E15061 | WhatsAppContactNameIncomplete | 422 | A contact card's name needs more than a formatted name. |

E15068 | WhatsAppAgentOnboarding | 409 | This agent is still being set up at WhatsApp and cannot be changed yet. |
E15070 | WhatsAppTemplateSlugImmutable | 409 | The template slug cannot be changed after its first submission. |
E15071 | WhatsAppReferencedMessageNotFound | 404 | No WhatsApp message with this id exists in this workspace. |
E15072 | WhatsAppMessageNotQuotable | 422 | This message cannot be quoted. |
E15073 | WhatsAppMessageLookupUnavailable | 503 | WhatsApp message lookup is temporarily unavailable. Please retry. |
E15074 | WhatsAppMessageNotAcknowledgeable | 422 | This message cannot be marked read. |
E15076 | WhatsAppTemplateLanguageRequired | 422 | This template requires the send to name a language. |
E15077 | WhatsAppTemplateLanguageNotAvailable | 422 | This template cannot send in the language you asked for, or in the default it would have used. |
E15078 | WhatsAppKeywordRuleNotEditable | 422 | This keyword rule is one Bird ships and cannot be changed or deleted. |
E15079 | WhatsAppKeywordRuleAlreadyExists | 409 | A keyword rule for this operation already exists at this scope. |
E15080 | WhatsAppKeywordBoundToOtherOperation | 409 | One of these keywords already does something else. |
E15081 | WhatsAppKeywordRuleWABANotFound | 422 | This WhatsApp Business Account is not one of yours. |
E15082 | WhatsAppKeywordOperationUnknown | 422 | This keyword operation is not one Bird supports. |
E15083 | WhatsAppKeywordEmpty | 422 | A keyword cannot be blank. |
E15089 | WhatsAppTemplateDisabledNotDeletable | 422 | This template cannot be deleted while WhatsApp has one of its languages disabled. |
