The verification code is incorrect or too many attempts have been made.

Check the code and try again. If the attempts are exhausted, open Voice > Numbers in the dashboard, remove the failed verified-number registration, and use Add number > Verify a number you own to register it again. This places another verification call; submit the new code to complete verification.
