Create and send a Push Campaign

Step-by-step guide

In this guide, we'll show you how to set up and send your first push notifications marketing campaign.

What you'll need

  • Install a push notifications channel within an application configuration.
  • Push Notifications message template.

Step 1: Start a New Campaign

  1. Go to:

    • Marketing Dashboard > Campaigns
  2. Click:

    • Create Campaign
  3. Select Channel:

    • Choose Push Notification from the channel list

Step 2: Set Campaign Details

  1. Add a Campaign name: e.g., “Welcome Series – App Install”
  2. Add relevant tags: Add tags like welcome, promotions, or retention to organize campaigns
  3. Choose your Recipients:
  • Select one or more lists or segments
  • You can suppress specific lists if needed
  • Set maximum recipient count to limit reach (optional)

Click Continue to content

Step 3: Configure Message Content

Send from:

  • Choose the push notification channel to send from

Select template:

  • Choose a pre-approved Push Notification message template
  • You can edit the content directly here and save your changes
  • A real-time preview of the message will be visible

Click Continue to Review

Step 4: Final Review and Test

  • Check total recipients
  • Review your message content
  • Send a test message (recommended):
    • Choose a Simulated Contact from the dropdown

Step 5: Launch Your Campaign

  • Schedule the campaign:

    • Choose a future date and time
    • Select a time zone (e.g., recipient’s local time)
  • Send now:

    • Click Send Now to deliver your campaign immediately

Start with one channel.
Add the others when you're ready.

A test API key is yours immediately. Production unlocks when you add a payment method and verify a sender.
