Email
deliverability.
Give your email a trusted sending identity. Authenticate domains, manage IP reputation and protect sends with suppression handling. Use Bird MCP and delivery reports to find what needs attention.

build world-class software.
Check the foundations.
Before the next send.
Ask Bird MCP to check your sending domain and look up a suppressed recipient. Bring DNS and delivery diagnostics into your agent so you can understand a sending problem before changing the setup.
Inspect my sending domain and check whether delivered@messagebird.dev is suppressed. Explain any setup issue. Do not remove suppressions or change DNS.

Send as your brand.
Authenticate the path.
Publish the records Bird gives you for DKIM, the return path and DMARC. Check their status in the dashboard. The return-path CNAME also provides SPF alignment, so you can authenticate sending without adding an SPF record at your domain apex.
Use the domain’s record names and values when configuring your DNS provider.

Protect the next send.
Learn from the last one.
Bird records hard bounces and complaints and applies suppressions to future sends. Your team can inspect the reason behind a blocked recipient, correct contact data and keep invalid addresses out of the sending path.
Find the provider.
Understand the problem.
Use delivery reports to investigate deferrals and bounces. Add Inbox Insights to see measured inbox and spam placement by provider, then run a seed test on the campaign you want to improve.
For greater control over your sending reputation, choose dedicated IPs and pools with a warmup plan that fits your volume.
Email deliverability, explained.
Does domain verification guarantee inbox placement?
No. Authentication helps establish a sending identity, but reputation, recipient engagement and mailbox-provider decisions also affect placement. Measure placement separately with Inbox Insights.
Do I need a dedicated IP?
The right setup depends on your volume and ability to maintain a sending reputation. Dedicated IPs and pools provide control, and require an appropriate warmup and operating plan.
How are marketing unsubscribes handled?
Email categories and suppressions determine which recipients are eligible for a send. Keep marketing permission and delivery failures distinct, and inspect the suppression reason before making changes.
