How to set up your AI Employee's personality and settings in Bird

  1. Open your AI Employee
  • Click AI hub in the left menu.
  • Select AI Employees.
  • Click on your AI Employee (e.g., Mr. Robin).
  • Click Open draft.
  • Click Edit draft to start editing.
  1. Personalize the profile
  • Click Edit profile.
  • Update the Display name.
  • Upload or change the Avatar image.
  • Write an Internal biography (for team reference).
  • Add an Internal description. (Tip: leave this blank and the AI can't be assigned tasks.)
  • Click Save draft.
  1. Configure AI settings
  • Go back to Overview.
  • Click Configure language model.
  • Choose your provider (e.g., OpenAI).
  • Click Back.
  1. Set the AI’s personality
  • Click Customize personality.
  • Edit the Biography and Instructions to guide how your AI replies.
  • Adjust the Tone of voice using the slider.
  • Click Save.
  1. Add guardrails and rules
  • Click Guardrails.
  • Review or add limits (e.g., "Never give discounts").
  • Click Back.
  • Click Abandonment logic.
  • Set when the AI should stop replying (e.g., after 3 hours).
  • Optional: Set a reminder message to nudge customers.
  • Click Save.
  1. Test your AI Employee
  • Click Test at the top.
  • Reset existing conversations.
  • Type a message to see how your AI replies.
  • Click the Info icon to inspect response details.
  • Use the Channel dropdown to test replies on other channels (e.g., WhatsApp, Webchat).
  1. Publish your changes
  • Click Publish draft.
  • Confirm to make your AI Employee live.
