# A familiar chat. A code to continue.

Deliver a managed WhatsApp authentication message and check the code the customer enters. Keep another eligible route available where delivery needs it.

## A code received. A recipient confirmed.

Bring the verification into your sign-in flow. Collect the code, check the answer, and help the customer continue.

## A managed template. A checked answer.

Deliver a managed passcode through WhatsApp.

### Use the supported managed identity.

WhatsApp verification uses a Bird-managed business number and authentication template. Bird Verify and Authifly are available identities; this path does not use your ordinary service-conversation template.

### Check the recipient’s route.

The number must receive WhatsApp messages, and the destination must support the shared passcode route. Some countries restrict this channel even when it appears in the configured order.

### Continue within the same verification.

An eligible fallback sends another code on the next channel while preserving the verification and expiry. A late code from an earlier attempt can still be checked while the verification remains pending.

## Keep building with Verify.
