# `bird support-tickets create`

## Usage

```bash
bird support-tickets create [flags]
```

## Description

Open a support ticket with Bird.

Opens a new ticket with the first message and returns it. Use --type support for
a human request or the default --type ai for an automated answer; follow up with
"bird support-tickets reply". The reply (automated or from a person, either can answer
your question) arrives asynchronously, so don't drop the ticket: pass --watch to block
until a reply lands, running it as a background task where your environment supports
that, or wait later with "bird support-tickets get <id> --watch".

Build the request from flags, a JSON CreateSupportTicket body via --body-file ("-" reads
stdin), or both — a flag overrides the matching body field. Run --example to
print a ready-to-edit body, or --dry-run to print the resolved request without
sending it.

## Examples

```bash
# print the body shape (no credentials needed)
bird support-tickets create --example
# the body it prints:
```

```json
{
 "area": "email",
 "message": "Hi, I need help setting up my sending domain.",
 "priority": "MEDIUM",
 "title": "Domain verification stuck",
 "type": "support"
}
```

```bash
# open a human support request
bird support-tickets create --type support --message "DKIM verification is stuck"
# preview the request without sending
bird support-tickets create --message "hi" --dry-run
```
