# Voice destinations

Your workspace decides which countries it calls. You enable the destinations you serve, and Bird turns the rest away with `destination_not_enabled` before any carrier is dialed. Toll fraud works by dialing expensive countries you never meant to call, so the countries you turn on are the ones you can run up a bill in.

The [**Destinations**](https://bird.com/dashboard/w/voice/destinations) page lists the countries available to your account, each row showing its dialing code, its availability, and a toggle. Countries you have enabled come first, and the search box matches a country by name or by its two-letter code. If a country you serve is not listed, contact support to open it up for your account.

## Enable a country

Find the country with the search box, or under the **Available** heading, and switch its toggle on. The change applies from that moment.

## Availability

**Availability** is separate from your toggle: it says whether the country is yours to enable.

| Availability | What it means |
| ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Available** | Bird can place calls to this country from your account, so you can enable it |
| **Not supported** | Bird can no longer place calls to this country from your account. Contact support to restore it |

Availability covers a country as a whole. Where routing does not yet reach a specific destination inside an available country, the call reports `no_route_found`: send the call `id` to support and they will extend the routing to cover it.

## High risk

Some countries carry a **High risk** badge. Calls to them are expensive, and whoever operates the number that was dialed earns a share of what the call costs you. Someone who breaks into a phone system dials their own numbers in exactly these countries, and every minute they run up is money to them.

Leave a high-risk country off unless you have business there, and check its rate before you turn one on.
