# Send messages from your Monkedo flows

Connect your Bird workspace to Monkedo with OAuth. Send email, SMS and WhatsApp, create verifications, and use Bird events to start your next automation step.

## Connect your workspace. Build your flow.

Start in Monkedo's automation editor. Select the region and Bird workspace that own your sending resources, then review access for the components your flow uses.

**Monkedo editor**

Bird → New → Connect Bird

- Region: EU1 / US1

Add a Bird action or the Watch Changes trigger to your automation. Choose New or Connect Bird in the component's account selector, then select the region that contains your Bird workspace.

**Bird connection**

- Workspace: Your intended Bird workspace
- Permissions: Access for the components you use

Sign in to Bird, choose your workspace and review the requested permissions before approving. To change a saved connection, reconnect from the Bird component in Monkedo's editor.

Map inputs → Test → Deploy

- Sender: A sender in your Bird workspace
- WhatsApp template: An approved template, when required

Map recipients and content from earlier steps, then test with your intended test recipient. Check the resulting message and its delivery events in Bird before deploying. For Watch Changes, select the event types your flow needs and test that a matching event starts it.

## Messaging actions and event-driven flows

- Send and inspect messages. Send email, SMS and WhatsApp. Read messages and their events, email recipients, email and SMS statistics, and WhatsApp numbers and templates.
- Verify recipients and find numbers. Create a verification to send a one-time passcode. List the numbers in your Bird workspace or search the available-number catalogue.
- Start a flow from a Bird event. Watch Changes registers a Bird webhook for the event types you select. Use delivery updates or inbound messages to trigger follow-up work in Monkedo.
