# `bird compliance attachments upload`

## Usage

```bash
bird compliance attachments upload [flags]
```

## Description

Create a registration attachment

Uploads one supporting document and returns its id. A requirement whose `data_type` is `document` in `bird compliance requirements` is answered with attachment ids rather than a typed value: `attachment_id` for a single document, `attachment_ids` where the item sets `max_items`. Upload each document first; the submission that names them comes after. PNG, JPEG, or PDF, up to 10 MB; the contents determine the type and a declared content type is ignored. Uploading the same bytes twice returns the first attachment instead of a second one. An attachment no registration has cited expires after seven days.

Pass the file with --file ("-" reads stdin); any other fields are
flags. Run --dry-run to print the parts that would be sent, including the
file's path and size, without uploading it.

## Examples

```bash
# check what would be sent, without sending it
bird compliance attachments upload --file ./document.pdf --dry-run
# upload it
bird compliance attachments upload --file ./document.pdf
```
