# Business verification

In many countries, registering a sender or a phone number means telling us which business it's for. You enter each business's details once in Identity Center. After a reviewer approves them, we fill them in for you on later registrations.

This is our own review. Meta verifies businesses separately for WhatsApp, as described in [WhatsApp business verification](/docs/knowledge-base/whatsapp/business-verification).

## Where do I enter my business details?

Open [**Identity Center**](https://bird.com/dashboard/w/trust) in the dashboard. Your businesses are listed under **Business Identities**. Select **New** to add a business, or open an existing one and select **Update** to change its details.

Identity Center also lists the verification steps your organization still has to complete. **Business verified** checks your business registration details with our verification partner. **Identity verified** asks an organization owner for a photo of their ID. Only owners can complete these steps.

## Which legal name do I enter?

Enter your business's name exactly as it appears in the companies register, including its legal form, such as B.V., SAS, or LLC. Reviewers reject trading names and abbreviations in this field.

If you trade under a different name, enter it in the brand or display name field, if the form has one.

## Which legal entity type do I choose?

Choose **Private company** for a limited company, such as an LLC, an SAS, or a BV. That holds even when one person owns the whole company.

Choose **Sole proprietor** only when your business isn't a separate legal entity from you.

## Which registration number do I enter?

Enter the number your national companies register gave your business. Reviewers reject a VAT number here, because it's a tax number.

| Country | Number to enter |
| -------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| Netherlands | KvK number from the Chamber of Commerce |
| Belgium | Enterprise number from the KBO/BCE |
| United States | EIN, the Employer Identification Number |
| France | SIREN number |
| United Kingdom | Company number from Companies House |

Then choose the kind of number under **Registration number type**. If your kind isn't listed, choose **Other**.

If you're a sole trader, enter the number your business is registered under, such as the KvK number of a Dutch eenmanszaak.

## A reviewer sent my details back. What do I do?

Open the business under **Business Identities**. The form shows only the answers the reviewer couldn't accept, with the reason for each. Correct them and select **Resubmit details**.

If a rejected answer is a document, upload a new file in its place. You can't change answers the reviewer already accepted, or add documents the form doesn't ask for. If an accepted answer is wrong, [contact support](/help/support).
