# Inspect usage and add a top-up

You need access to the allocated eSIM and permission to purchase an additional package. This guide assumes the selected service supports top-ups.

## 1. Inspect the active packages

Open the eSIM and review the package states, remaining allowance and expiry. Read the observation timestamp with the balance. A missing or delayed update is different from a reported zero allowance.

## 2. List compatible offers

Use the eligible top-ups for this specific profile. Do not choose another catalog offer solely because it covers the same country; compatibility follows the allocated service.

## 3. Review effective terms

Show the added allowance, coverage, published amount and currency, validity and activation behavior. Explain whether the package starts immediately or follows a stacking rule.

## 4. Approve and follow the order

Submit one authorized purchase and retain the order identity. Follow the financial and provisioning outcome. If the response is lost or the order remains pending, recover the existing attempt before placing another.

## 5. Check the resulting package

Confirm that the new package is attached to the intended eSIM and that its terms match the accepted purchase. Explain when the allowance becomes usable and when the next usage update can be expected.

## Troubleshooting

If the balance does not change immediately, compare the package state and the latest observation time. Investigate fulfillment separately from network usage reporting. A delayed report alone is not grounds to purchase the package again.
