# `bird whatsapp broadcasts send`

## Usage

```bash
bird whatsapp broadcasts send <broadcast-id> [flags]
```

## Description

Send a WhatsApp broadcast

Run "bird whatsapp broadcasts validate" first. Running this again on a scheduled broadcast changes when it sends; it does not send a second copy.

Build the request from flags, a JSON WhatsAppBroadcastSendRequest body via --body-file ("-" reads
stdin), or both — a flag overrides the matching body field. Run --example to
print a ready-to-edit body, or --dry-run to print the resolved request without
sending it.

## Procedure

Step 8 of 8 of "Check, test and send a WhatsApp broadcast". Previous: bird whatsapp broadcasts test.

## Examples

```bash
# print the body shape (no credentials needed)
bird whatsapp broadcasts send --example
# the body it prints:
```

```json
{
  "scheduled_at": "2026-11-01T09:00:00Z"
}
```
