# `bird voice verified-numbers verify`

## Usage

```bash
bird voice verified-numbers verify <verified-number-id> [flags]
```

## Description

Verify number ownership

Complete the ownership verification challenge that `bird voice verified-numbers create` started. Recovery may place another verification call and requires registration eligibility. Submit the code while ownership proof is pending. If proof was saved but outbound activation returned 412 or 503, resolve the issue and resubmit an empty object to reuse the proof. For an expired or exhausted challenge, delete the verified number and create it again, then submit the code against the ID that create returns.

Build the request from flags, a JSON VoiceVerifiedNumberVerifyRequest body via --body-file ("-" reads
stdin), or both — a flag overrides the matching body field. Run --example to
print a ready-to-edit body, or --dry-run to print the resolved request without
sending it.

## Options

#### Request

| Name                | Description                                                  |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `--body-file`       | Read the JSON request body from this file; "-" reads stdin   |
| `--example`         | Print a complete example request body, then exit             |
| `--dry-run`         | Print the resolved request without sending it, then exit     |
| `--idempotency-key` | Deduplication key; a retry with the same key won't act twice |

#### Options

| Name                | Description                                                                                                                                                            |
| ------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `--code`            | The 6-digit verification code read out by the verification call. Required until ownership is verified. Omit it when retrying activation of an already verified number. |
| `--response-schema` | Print the fields this command returns, then exit                                                                                                                       |
