# `bird voice ring-groups members create`

## Usage

```bash
bird voice ring-groups members create <ring-group-id> [flags]
```

## Description

Add a member to a ring group

Add a workspace user to a ring group. A group holds at most 200 members; the default group's members cannot be changed.

Build the request from flags, a JSON VoiceRingGroupMemberCreate body via --body-file ("-" reads
stdin), or both — a flag overrides the matching body field. Run --example to
print a ready-to-edit body, or --dry-run to print the resolved request without
sending it.

## Options

#### Request

| Name                | Description                                                  |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `--body-file`       | Read the JSON request body from this file; "-" reads stdin   |
| `--example`         | Print a complete example request body, then exit             |
| `--dry-run`         | Print the resolved request without sending it, then exit     |
| `--idempotency-key` | Deduplication key; a retry with the same key won't act twice |

#### Options

| `--user-id`         | The workspace user to add. bird members list and the members\_list MCP tool list workspace members in pages, each with its user.id; follow next\_cursor until the user appears. Both need the members scope at read level. (required; or in --body-file) |
| `--response-schema` | Print the fields this command returns, then exit                                                                                                                                                                                                         |
