# `bird profile set`

## Usage

```bash
bird profile set <name>
```

## Description

Makes a signed-in profile the default, which every later command uses unless --profile or BIRD\_PROFILE names another. A running "bird mcp" server keeps the profile it started with; restart it to switch.

## Examples

```bash
# Use the staging workspace from now on
bird profile set staging
```
