# `bird compliance document-templates get`

## Usage

```bash
bird compliance document-templates get <template-id> [flags]
```

## Description

Download the blank form a registration requirement names in its `template_url`,
as a PDF, Word document, JPEG or PNG. Read the requirement with
`bird compliance requirements` to find the template id: the last segment of a
`template_url` of the form /v1/compliance/document-templates/cmt\_…. An older
requirement can carry the form's own file URL there instead; fetch that URL as it is.

The bytes are written to --output when set, and stdout then carries a JSON receipt
with the form's content type and filename, so the file can be renamed to match.
Without --output the bytes go to stdout:

bird compliance document-templates get cmt\_123 --output form

## Examples

```bash
bird compliance document-templates get <template-id> --output form
```

## Options

| Name           | Description                                    |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| `--output, -o` | Write the bytes to this file instead of stdout |
