# Build in camelAI. Reach people through Bird.

Connect Bird to camelAI as a remote MCP server. The agent works in your Bird workspace while you build, and adds email, SMS, and WhatsApp to your app through a server-side integration.

## From prompt to delivered.

Your agent can set up channels, manage customers, and confirm delivery. Full read and write access through MCP and CLI.

**MCP**: `https://mcp.bird.com`

```json
{
  "name": "voice_legs_list"
}
```

## Connect camelAI. Then get to work.

A server connection and an account authorization are separate steps.

Remote MCP Server

-

### Add Bird

In camelAI, open Connections, click Add connection, and choose Remote MCP Server. Name the connection Bird, paste the server URL, and set Authentication to OAuth (Dynamic Client Registration).

-

### Authorize the connection

Click Create Connection. Bird asks which workspace camelAI gets and which permissions to grant. Click Allow, and camelAI confirms the connection.

-

### Check the account

Click the chat icon on the Bird connection to start a chat with @bird. Ask the agent to call whoami before the first product task. A returned identity confirms the sign-in worked.

## Built with an agent. Ready for your users.

Your published app needs its own server-side connection to Bird.

### Keep the key on the server

Store the application credential in your backend’s secrets. Your browser calls your backend, and your backend calls Bird.

### Use a sender you control

Verify your email domain or configure an eligible sender for the channel you choose.

### Show the real result

Save the message ID. Update your app from the message status or delivery events.

## A few good places to start.

Give your agent the outcome. Let Bird provide the operations.

Understand a delivery issue

```
Check my recent email failures. Group them by reason, inspect the affected sending domain, and tell me what needs fixing before making changes.
```

Prepare a new channel

```
Help me set up SMS for order updates. Check my workspace and available senders, explain what is missing, then prepare a test for a number I provide.
```

See what is happening now

```
List the Voice calls active right now. Separate connected calls from calls still ringing, and show their IDs.
```

## Before your first task.

The details behind a working connection.

Does connecting MCP give my agent unrestricted access?

No. The tools work within the permissions you hold and choose to delegate during authorization. Revoke the connection from your Bird account at any time.

Do I need an API key for hosted MCP?

Hosted MCP uses browser sign-in. An application you deploy separately uses its own protected application credential.

What if the tools appear but calls fail?

Open the menu on the Bird connection and choose Verify connection. If the check fails, choose Reconnect and sign in to Bird again, then confirm your identity and workspace.
